There are shuttle services available from various cities and airports and a regular bus line to Kranjska Gora. For those arriving by train, there is an option to take a bus from the closest train station (Jesenice) to Kranjska Gora.
Plane:
The nearest airport, the Ljubljana Airport (Brnik), is located 66 km from Krajnska Gora. It is also possible to reach Kranjska Gora from other major international airports, for example from Trieste (152 km), Venice (228km), Zagreb (238 km), Klagenfurt (65 km), Salzburg (212 km), Vienna (361 km) and Budapest (574 km).
To reach the conference venue from an airport, it is possible to use public transport (see below) or take a shuttle. For example, you can consider GoOpti or Markun Shuttle, but more options are often listed on the airport's webpage. The price for one person to take the shuttle from Ljubljana Airport to Kranjska Gora is approximately 65 € and takes about one hour.
Since more participants will probably be arriving on the same airports at similar times, you can try connecting with other participants to share a shuttle ride. A good channel to do this is the conference Discord Server. At least the following two companies offer this option:
- "Zapeljem te" can be contacted via their website or via email. They offer rides from airports to Kranjska Gora. For example, a one way ride from Ljubljana Airport (Brnik) costs approximately 70 € and a one way ride from Venice costs approximately 250 €, where both prices can be distributed among up to 7 people who would take the shuttle together.
- "Markun Shuttle" can be contacted via their website or via email. They offer rides from Ljubljana Airport (Brnik) to Kranjska Gora. A one way ride for up to three people costs approximately 90 € (which is then distributed among passengers) or a one way ride for up to 7 people costs approximately 110 € (again distributed among passengers).
Bus:
From Ljubljana Bus Station you can take a bus directly to Kranjska Gora (see timetable and price here). There are no direct lines to Kranjska Gora from Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU). Instead, you can take a shuttle or taxi to the nearest city, Kranj, or a bus to Ljubljana, and then take a bus to Kranjska Gora (find a route on the Ljubljana Bus Station webpage).
Train:
Arriving by train either from the south (Ljubljana) or from the north (Austria), the nearest train station is in Jesenice (20km from Kranjska Gora). From there you can take a bus or taxi to Kranjska Gora. You can find the timetable and ticket prices at the Slovenian railways webpage.
